combo classes next year
Things are looking good for a few combo classes next year with me and some others. I think it'll be another first in the industry. Details will be flowing in the next few months.

Defoor Toast
I made this up! No one else.
If you see it floating around the net, it was taken from me.
I don't mind people toasting to it or I wouldn't have posted it
but....the point is don't pretend that you came up with it, and remember that it is meant, and uses phrases, for one group of people, no one else.
Parents of our brethren , we are grateful to you for instilling the warrior spirit in your sons.
Wives of our brothers, we are eternally thankful to you for sharing your husband with us.
Children of our warriors, we are here for you forever, take pride in your father's actions.
Thank the Gods these men died a warriors death.
Long live the brotherhood!
See you in Valhalla!

Classes, news, Etc.
The upcoming Intro Carbine on September 3 will most likely be my last intro type course. There will be no intro courses for 2012. I simply can't squeeze in any more classes, and traveling for one day is not as economical as two.
The 2012 schedule will be out soon and I'll post here and on FB. I will be all over the country in 2012 and there will be lots of opprotunities for people who live in otherwise hard to reach places.
I'm gonna try and do two TRAC classes in 2012 instead of just one...dates to follow. We possibly will do a coyote TRAC as well...stand by.
I'll also be giving away some gear at the Sep 3 Intro class.....spring cleaning if you will. No gimmicks, I'm just trying to find a new home for stuff I don't use anymore...of course there will be some type of shooting contest to see who gets what.
I'll be doing a small tour of California coming up, and there may be some more TV stuff in the future (not what you think!...stayed tuned)
Finally, thanks to everyone for the calls, emails, letters, words, gestures, and thoughts- they have been seen and passed on to all.

Arc'teryx Alpha LT Shell and Bravo Soft Shell Review
This is what I wear most of the time in cold and wet enviroments. Below 35 degrees , I'll replace the Bravo with a synthetic down jacket, like the Atom AF or Atom LT.

S&S Precision Sling Clip
Finally! A single point that works!
My bros at S & S Precision turned out this little gem not long ago. They make both the Sling Clip and the sling. The sling itself is not on their site right now but is in stock.
This setup makes it so that you have the benefits of both single point and two point slings. It's a simple idea that works and makes you say, "damn, I wish I'd thought of that"- which is what I say about most S&S products.
I've put this through the ringer for weeks and it's bomber. In my opinion this is THE sling to have for Law Enforcement especially. I say this because of the ability to wrap the sling on the buffer tube or use a retaining band to keep it out of the way when it's in the cruiser. Nice and slick, nothing to catch on when you need to grab it.
Of course military guys love it because of the maneuverability, and the fact it still locks down hard. I've done half a dozen climbs with it (all over 20 ft) and 8 or 9 fastropes of 25-30 feet. No problems at all.
A couple of other things that I recently discovered after I did the video:
1. If you wear it traditional (righthander putting left arm through), it quickly slings up across the chest in high port ala winter warfare, say if you had a massive ruck and were on skis.
2. You can actually use the clip to hook your pocket super quick if need be. Again I think this is great for LE and mil or anyone who might need to get hands on fast.
email sales@sandsprecision.com to order or inquire, and I'm guessing if you want one sooner is better.
